The Year 1ne's

Marketing Specialist @ Nankind with Morolayo Folami

Blair Smith

In her Year 1ne, Morolayo (“Layo”) has worked in the non-profit sector as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist at Nankind, an organization that provides free supportive care to families affected by cancer; and prior to this she was in Community Engagement at Wealthsimple Foundation. Morolayo also worked for four years agency-side in
Nigeria before  moving to Canada to exploring her creative and
purpose-driven passions further. 🤗

Some of the highlights from Layo and Blair’s chat include how focusing on a niche sector helps in the job search, the difference between working agency vs. client-side in marketing communications; and, why sometimes “you need to slow down to speed up”.
